Dupe Checker

Due to spam, I have disabled forum topic creation for anonymous users. They can still post comments, but I will probably have to disable that too if the spam gets out of control. Registered users have not been changed.

Due to the site having some authentication issues, I have upgraded to Drupal 4.7.6. You probably won't notice any changes, but I'm still going through making sure everything moved over correctly.

I have finished work on a new version of Dupe Checker. This new version fixes a bug regarding the statusbar reappearing when you set it to disappear after a certain amount of seconds. I have not noticed any large bugs, but there is still a rare bug that causes Firefox to crash when DC is run (either through a scan or when creating the cache file). I'm trying to find a way to reproduce it. If you have this problem, post in the forums so we can try to get rid of this bug. You can download the new version through the "Download" link at the top.

I have noticed a few issues that have started since they released 1.5.0.9 of Firefox. The largest problem is with cache creation and sometimes will result in Firefox crashing. I'm looking into the problem and will be releasing a new version as soon as I figure out what they did.

Dupe Checker was approved on the Firefox Add-ons page a little less than 24 hours ago and we have already received 55 downloads. Many people have been by here seeing what Dupe Checker is about. If you feel like asking any questions or have any comments, you all can post on the forums without needing to register. I will probably leave the forums like that until the spam bots arrive. I hope you all find Dupe Checker useful.

A help page has been added that should give more information about the various features of the Dupe Checker Firefox extension. You can get to it here or through the "Help" link on the top bar.
